So my favorite Starbucks just “upgraded” their espresso machines. There’s 1 store left, that I know of, in Central Texas, with an old espresso machine, last I checked anyway.
Why’s this a problem? If your drink is espresso-based like my americano, you’d notice the difference. The new machines produced a strong bitter shot, while the old ones produced a sweet shot. Who wants to drink bitter coffee?! Just when it seems that Starbucks has dominated the world, being on every corner, knowing what all their customers want, their upgrade turns out to be a downgrade, resulting in customers nationwide to throw their hands in the air in frustration, & drive a little further to the local shop around the corner.
Good job, Starbucks, good job. You won’t be able to “remake” THIS americano, until you REPLACE your sucky machines.
