It’s not overly smooth, but not real scratchy. The ink doesn’t come out when it’s not supposed to. It clicks fine, the clip is solid enough. After using a really smooth pen, I probably wouldn’t buy it again. There are too many better pens on the market than this one. Some pens feel like they require no effort to write. I picked this up at Target, with the promise of “effortless writing” and a “revolutionary ink system.”</p> <p>What I got was smooth writing, sticky leftovers, and a tip the collects lint which later translates to some blotchy lines. Being left-handed, I am the true test for quick-drying ink, and although it doesn’t smear MUCH, it definitely stays tacky longer than most pens. After I got home and saw it on the news, it turns out, it was going SO fast that it gave me the illusion that it was close, when in reality it was high in the atmosphere going 15 miles per SECOND.
